Job Description

Our client is looking for an Art Director who can seamlessly integrate with their art style and create exceptional content. This full-time Art Director remote role is fully remote within Europe and comes with a generous salary and benefits.

As an Art Director, you will direct the artistic vision guiding the visual development of characters, skins, and environments within the live ops framework, ensuring alignment with our existing art direction.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and inspire the art team, promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, efficiency, and sustainable work practices 
• Develop strategies for art creation that balance high-quality visuals with efficient production methods to reduce workload without compromising quality 
• Collaborate with production and design teams to ensure a cohesive and engaging game aesthetic, focusing on effective and sustainable art production 

To succeed in this Art Director role, you will need significant experience in art direction or senior art leadership roles within the gaming industry, ideally with a focus on AA+ free-to-play titles. You will also require the following:

• Expertise in character and skin design 
• A portfolio demonstrating creative and technical skill 
• A deep understanding of trends and pop culture to identify opportunities and align game art with player interests, particularly in cosmetics and monetization strategies 
• A track record of working on live ops games, with expertise in efficiently maintaining and refreshing a game's visual identity 
• Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and manage an art team, fostering a positive, productive, and sustainable working environment
