Interior Designer

Oak Point Associates is seeking an energetic and motivated Interior Designer with a passion for the design and detailing of interior environments to join our expanding award-winning team. This hybrid position (3 days in office, up to 2 days remote) is available in our Biddeford, Maine office.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing the interior design process from the initial programming meetings through construction
  • Developing building programs and space needs in partnership with the owner and design team
  • Collaborating on the design of building layouts and floor plans to meet program goals
  • Working with our integrated design team on the preparation of construction documents
  • Generating renderings and graphics to communicate design elements
  • Conducting existing condition surveys
  • Preparing estimates of probable cost
  • Communicating clearly, professionally, and cordially with colleagues, clients, and authorities

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor or Master of Interior Design degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5-10 plus years of experience
  • Interior Design License or a path to licensure is preferred.
  • LEED accreditation, WELL accreditation Certification a plus
  • Experience in K-12 Education Planning and Design
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCad, SketchUp, InDesign, Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience with public speaking is preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Job Type: Full-Time, hybrid work schedule, 3 days in Office, 2 Days Remote
