The Orchards is our newly constructed 5 star CMS rate health center with assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The Orchards uses state of the art equipment to achieve excellent clinical outcomes as recognized by the acute hospital. Reata Glen is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) offering a variety of villas and apartment homes to hundreds of residents.

Part Time Shift Friday and Saturday 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Range- $19.50-$22.00

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

• The Medication Aide accepts, accounts and documents all new medications brought into the facility. Safely prepares and aides with resident self-administration of medications. Maintains accurate medication documentation and records.
• Guides the resident in maintaining his/her schedule of daily activities, while maintaining the resident’s sense of independence. Individualizes care and assistance provided to each resident depending on level of functioning.
• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising. Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate, student or equivalent.
• Completion of required RCFE training as Medication Technician
• Current First Aid & CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience as a caregiver in a facility or in-home caregiving
• Knowledge and practice of safe lifting and back care techniques
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Minimum one-year experience preferred as Medication Technician
