Position: Plastic Fabricator

Summary:
Under general supervision, fabricate complex plastic products and assemblies using advanced production techniques.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
· Fabricate and assemble complex plastic products utilizing techniques to weld, cut, form, bend and shape plastic to meet precise design specifications.
· Use power tools, hand tools hand welders, and precision equipment to construct plastic products.
· Read work orders and interpret drawings/prints in order to plan and carry out the precise design specifications for each product.
· Work with area lead to refine fabrication techniques and improve manufacturing repeatability.
· Work with area lead to establish priorities; notify lead of any shortages or problems that might affect the schedule.
Secondary Duties:
· Work closely with NPI teams to develop methods for manufacturing designs.
Education/Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years of continuous experience in plastics welding and fabrication using industry standards, showing demonstrated consistency in weld quality (strength & cosmetic).
· Welding Experience Preferred
· Experience welding a variety of plastics, i.e., PVC, 4910, CP7D (for example).
· Demonstrated proficiency using calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers and height/depth gauges.
· Demonstrated experience reading and understanding blue prints and instructions as well as geometric tolerances.
· Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, area Lead, and management.
· Must be a self-starter & self-motivated.
· Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
· Problem solving skills.
· Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment
Work Setting
· A temperature-controlled production environment requiring sitting/standing for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection) may be required. May operate moving equipment (forklift) as required to perform essential job functions.
