Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business. You will be mainly accountable for: • Partner with OPEX team members to find and implement continuous improvement projects aligned to reduce operations EBITA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, & Amortization) • Perform daily tasks associated with process engineering such as: MP (Manufacturing Procedure) audit/creation, SAP routings, quality control and deviation submissions, tooling creation/improvements... • Find and pitch improvement ideas, and then execute ideas if approved into a full project • Document any best practices discovered and/or standards implemented

Qualifications for the role

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in engineering in the United States.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
