Your role and responsibilities Responsible for ongoing analysis and follow up of rejected components, including recommendations for corrective action. Assist in corrective action resolution Perform inspections in the following areas: Molding, Returned Materials, and Shipping Use precision measuring instruments as required Perform dimensional inspections using hand instrumentation, as required Perform inspection on manufactured and/or purchased parts, writing reports as required Formulate relevant reports of the inspections for Supplier Quality Performance Resolve issues resulting from non-conforming inspections with the appropriate supplier or customer Determine salvageability of defective items, as assigned Must understand and perform all job requirements in compliance with ISO 9001
Qualifications for the role - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Control or Manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Must be able to facilitate and communicate well with production, supervisors, and co-workers
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive operations and pull/push functions
- Ability to stand for 8 hours daily
- Comfortable bending, twisting, reaching
- Comfortable working with heavy equipment and in a non-climate controlled environment
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
