Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated and proactive Scrum Master to join our dynamic software development team. This is a full-time remote position, with occasional travel to Sacramento, CA, for team meetings. As our Scrum Master, you'll play a crucial role in guiding our team through sprint planning, managing user stories, facilitating scrum events and ceremonies, and setting clear team goals and objectives.

You'll collaborate closely with various teams, engage with stakeholders and executive leadership, and take a proactive approach to identify and address project risks. This role is within a consulting capacity for the Department of Healthcare Services - Behavioral Health, one of the largest and most technologically advanced organizations in California state government.

Qualifications

- At least 5 years of experience in Agile methodology and Scrum Master roles within a development environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for fostering positive relationships.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and concepts.
- Current Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
- Proficiency in JIRA Agile tracking software.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a responsible team player with exceptional relationship management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead within a dynamic team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong technical documentation and problem-solving abilities.

Additional experience or certifications in Project Management, Software Development, or Quality Assurance are a plus. We value candidates who can demonstrate effective collaboration and communication with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
