ChristianaCare is searching for a Translation Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating all work required to translate written documents in English into the safe harbor languages as defined by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. The Translation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the content of the Christiana Care written materials are translated into defined languages in a manner that conforms to departmental standards and supports the ChristianaCare brand guidelines. Collaborates with other departments and outside agencies to ensure high quality of translation services and reflects Christiana Care values and behaviors.Education and experience requirements:
Bachelor's degree in languages or translation studies, marketing or related area of study.
National certification as translator English to Spanish, or certification within the first year of employment.
Experience working as interpreter and/or translator. Formal interpreting and translating experience required, including proven completion of approved medical interpreter training program.
Superior score on ACTFL Written Proficiency Test (ACTFL-WPT) in English and Spanish.
Special requirements:
Must be able to walk at a brisk pace through all areas of the CHR and WH campuses, and other CCHS satellite locations.
